2025 Annual Meeting

Storytelling, Art Direction, Project Management, Experience Building

Overview

Thompson Thrift’s 2025 Annual Meeting was designed to connect team members across two sister companies around the theme of “Insight to Impact.” The event focused on helping employees understand company operations, business strategies, and how individual contributions support larger organizational goals. Taking place during the development of the company’s Impact 2032 strategic planning initiative, the meeting also created opportunities for team members to provide feedback on what was working, what needed improvement, and what changes would help the company continue to grow.

The event’s visual direction centered around the idea of turning employee insights into meaningful action. Interactive experiences encouraged participation and reflection, including a Start, Stop, Continue activity where team members shared feedback on color-coded notes and added their ideas to large lightbulb installations. The installation served as both a visual representation of collective thinking and a physical reminder that every employee had a role in shaping the company’s future.

A key component of the event was the creation of a company-wide planner designed to connect strategic goals with daily execution. Rather than serving as a traditional calendar, the planner was developed as a resource to help employees align their individual priorities with department objectives and company-wide initiatives. The opening section featured the 2025 Business Plan, providing employees with a reference point for overall goals and strategic direction throughout the year.

The planner was thoughtfully structured to support long-term planning and everyday productivity. Each month included calendar views, goal-setting pages, reflection prompts, weekly planning spreads, and additional note sections to encourage organization and accountability. Custom-designed sticker sheets were created to highlight important dates and milestones, adding an interactive element while reinforcing the planner’s connection to company priorities.

Bringing the planner from concept to completion required extensive collaboration with internal stakeholders, local print vendors, and international manufacturing partners. Responsibilities included layout design, information hierarchy, production preparation, vendor coordination, material selection, and quality control throughout the manufacturing process. Hardcover journals were produced through a combination of domestic and international production partners to create a durable, functional tool employees could use throughout the year.

The final experience combined storytelling, collaboration, and practical design to help employees understand the company’s direction while providing a resource to support their day-to-day work. Through environmental graphics, interactive activities, and a strategically designed planning tool, the Annual Meeting reinforced how individual actions contribute to collective progress and long-term success.
